Hi, this is Dara Kerr with CNET news and I'm here in downtown San Francisco covering the Waymo versus Uber trial.
Today was day one.
This trial was about the legendary stolen self driving car trade secrets and the two sides laid their cases.
Waymo said that Uber is this company that's highly competitive and will cut costs and cut corners at any moment to win the self-driving car race.
Uber, on the other hand, said what Waymo was spinning was peer conspiracy and that it will prove all it wanted to do was hide the top tech talent in the self-driving car race.
Race.
The day got off to a bumpy start, there was technical glitches an over packed courtroom lots of lawyers.
The judge said he had never seen so many lawyers at the bench.
And even a fake twitter account made in the judge's name.
That he made clear that no one should pay attention Attention to cuz it wasn't really him.
I'll be here tomorrow for day two of the court case.
Check it out on CNET.
