Today, I'm trying a brand new experience for the Oculus Rift.
It's called The Climb from Crytek, makers of Crisis.
Alright.
I'm going to scale this rock face with an Xbox controller and my eyes.
My own body grabbing all of the grips on this wall I have to look everytime I want to get to a new hand hold.
Come on okay, looks like I'm safe for now.
Oh, kind of bounced off the cliff face so I'm going to lean to put my hands on this rock First what I need to do to get higher if I just need to tilt my head further up.
It's actually like reaching over my body to the next handheld.
Okay.
Grab.
Oh gosh this is actually a little bit of effort.
And I'm really close to this rock face.
Like I can definitely see the cracks in it.
So this is like uncharted In virtual reality.
I don't feel like I'm in any danger or anything.
You can definitely tell there's a drop, got a first person, Nathan Drake thing going on here.
There's something written on the rock.
It says climb, somebody wrote it wrong C-L-Y-M-B and crossed it out, climb.
You want me to climb, alright I can climb Reach chalk to make those hands nice and chalky.
So I don't loose my grip.
This is actually a little bit nerve racking.
I need to figure out if I can make it to this other rock place.
Let's give it a try.
Oh barely.
Okay.
There's this way.
Or there's also that way.
There's the summit.
It looks like I need to go around.
I can go either way down here.
Okay.
Let's see.
Let's go left.
Going to jump for it.
Hearts a racing.
Check point C. Getting close to it.
There we are.
And that's the climb.
Pretty impressive.
As you'd expect from the makers of Crisis that's one good looking game.
I'm looking forward to trying the full version next year.
