Qolcom invented this super fast charging technology called Quick Charge 4 and device makers can start adding, Quick charging is one way to ease the pain of the drain, but there are some tricky problems Qualcomm had to solve.
Because if you charge too fast, it can overheat the battery, and that's not good.
No one wants another Note 7 mess on their hands.
So the technology manages the heat of the phone, and how much power the device is drinking up through the cable.
Any device that uses this will also need to have overheating protections inside the end you plug into the wall outlet.
The previous generations of Qualcomm's fast charging tech is in a few LH and HCG smart phones.
