-Hello.
My name is Dong Ngo and, today, we'll check out another solid-state drive or SSD.
This is the Vertex 3 from OCZ, one of the few on the market that supports the SATA 6-gigabyte-per-second standard.
This is an internal drive that, like many hard drive, use inside laptop computers.
The difference is it's really fast compared to hard drives and even when compared to other solid-state drive.
This is because most other solid-state drives only support SATA 3 gigabytes per second.
The Vertex 3 comes in a standard 2.5-inch design and, therefore, fit in any application where regular hard drive of the same design would be used.
It also comes with a bay converter to take the place of a 3.5-inch hard drive.
This means it can also be used in a desktop computer.
In our testing, the drive really excelled and dramatically increased the performance of any computer it is used with.
Like all other SSD, the Vertex 3 has no moving part and, therefore, it uses less energy, is quiet, and more durable.
It's a perfect replacement drive for any computers especially those that have a built-in support for the SATA 6-gigabyte-per-second standard.
So, what's the catch?
The price.
This drive here offers just 240 gigabytes and it costs around $500.
In this case, you really get what you pay for or maybe you really paid for what get is more like it.
