>> Hi, I'm Rich Brown, senior editor for CNET.com. Today we are taking a look at the Velocity Micro Raptor DCX; this is an editor's choice winning gaming PC. It has on over clocked Intel quad core chip, a pair of ATI?s, brand new Radian [assumed spelling] HD2900 graphics card and over all it delivers pretty outstanding bang for the buck, even though it is a really expensive system. Now the front panel has pretty much what you would expect from a high end PC these days, it has a multi format dual layer DVD burner, as well as a standard DVD Rom drive. We more or less expect most PCs to have a media card reader these days; Velocity still stubbornly sticks to a floppy disk drive. So now that we are inside the case you can see this is a pretty gigantic PC, the reason is, is because it accommodates the two graphics cards, give you plenty of airflow and also makes a nice clean build. Everything is clamped down tight, all the wires are nice and tidy, plenty of room for expansion, it's a really well designed PC, pretty much, what we expect from velocity micro. So there is two components that make this PC such a good value, there is an over clocked Intel quad core extreme processor here in these are two of ATI?s Radian HD 2900 XT graphics cards. They're brand-new from ATI, designed for next GEN gaming, we don't quite know how that next GEN performance is going to be because there aren't any titles out but for current games, it's outstanding. As far as the rest of the system goes we are pretty happy with it features wise as well. There's two high-capacity hard drives here, you have room to add two more, pretty much standard for a high-end PC these days. Room for two more RAM slots, there's two gigs in here right now, we are seeing a couple systems in this price range with four gigs but two gigs is fine and RAM is cheap these days so it's not the end of the world. The only other feature right we have on this system is that there is no HD drive option so you cannot add a blue ray or HD DVD drive. So I'm Rich Brown in this the Velocity Micro Raptor DCX.
