If your built-in web cam is broken then don't panic.
I'm Lexy Savvides and I'm going to show you how to use your DSL as PC web cam.
You'll need a Canon or a Nikon DSL [UNKNOWN] I'm using the 5 D Mark 3. A PC and SparkoCam, a free download.
Once you've downloaded SparkoCam, launch it on your PC.
Connect your DSLR to the PC using a USB cable.
Step two, turn on the camera and wait for any drivers to install if needed.
Under the device tab in SparkoCam you should see the software auto detect your camera.
Step three, adjust your exposure using the settings here in the app.
Shutter speed, aperture, and white balance can all be tweaked.
Don't forget to set your focus using auto or manual.
Step 4 launch your chat software such as Skype and set Sparkocam as your webcam.
You won't be able to record sound with your DSLR so make sure you keep the internal mic on your PC turned on or plug in an external mic.
The free version of Sparkocam comes with a big watermark, but to unlock the full version it's 30 bucks.
