Travis Kalanick appoints two members to Uber's board

Travis Kalanick appointed two people to the board of Uber without consulting the current board members nor the company's new CEO.
Kalanick is the former CEO of Uber but resigned from the position after a series of controversies.
However, Kalanick says he has the right to choose three of 11 board seats Former [UNKNOWN] CEO, Ursula Burns and former [UNKNOWN] CEO, John [UNKNOWN] are expected to formally join Uber's board this week.
But it is unclear if they will be able to vote on governance issues that could affect [UNKNOWN] into voting power.
Uber said the two appointments came as it completes surprise to Uber and it's board Google's Pixel event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 4th.
The company is expected to introduce revised versions of its Pixel phones, along with a new laptop rumored to be called the Pixel Book.
A new report from Tech Crunch says Google is also working on a new device similar to Amazon's Echo Show.
This device would act as a smart home hub, handle video calls, and would feature Google Assistant The report says Google will try to launch this eco shell competitor this year.
Maybe we'll get a look at it on the fourth.
Amazon's Echo, Echo Dot and Echo Show can now make free voice calls to phone numbers in North America.
The feature can be set up in the Companion Smartphone app, which will need access to your contacts.
You have the ability to link your mobile number to 2D [UNKNOWN] devices so recipients will know who's calling them.
You can also opt out of linking your number but then recipients will see unknown caller on their caller ID.
