Toyota embraces the darkness, introduces more Nightshade models
[MUSIC]
Planting tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplants have in common with these Toyota's?
No.
Truth to be told, basically nothing except for this, those plants are all members of the nightshade family and these vehicles are part of the automakers Nightshade lineup of limited edition model.
Horticultural lessons aside for 2021 Toyota is offering this blackout package on the Tacoma and tundra pickup trucks as well as the Sequoia SUV.
Currently it's available on the Corolla sedan and hatchback, the Camry for runner and Sienna minivan.
Based on limited trim models these rugged body on frame vehicles can be had with either rear or four wheel drive.
Beyond that they're all graced with black leather seating surfaces plus plenty of blacked out exterior trim, including their mirror caps and door handles.
That's a common night shade rolls on dark finished 18 inch alloy wheels.
It's exhaustive and Foglight bezels are blacked out.
Plus it gets a new breelan cert.
Just like it's smaller sibling the wheels and exhaust tip on the tundra Nightshade had been blacked out.
Black like the flu on a wood burning stove after a long, cold winter.
Similarly, the Sequoia night shade features and array of you guessed it blacked out components from its lower grille and body mouldings to the fog light surrounds and exterior badges.
Fortunately, these vehicles don't have to be entirely black.
Yes, you can get them all in midnight black metallic or magnetic gray metallic paint colors, but the Tacoma and tundra are also available in an extra cost whew called wind chill pearl.
A Tundra can also be had in super white all the night shade [UNKNOWN] Sequoia is offered in an additional color called Blizzard pearl.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot of state to go with all of this sizzle.
substantive changes to these vehicles are basically non existent.
Still, given how popular they are.
I'm sure Toyota will have no trouble selling every one of them that they manufacture.
Now they're planning on building 5000 copies each of both the Tacoma and tundra night shade, but only 2500 examples of the Sequoia.
