Top 5 tech terrors
These are the top five everyday tech terrors.
We spend our lives with tech all the time, but sometimes things go wrong.
Lets get to it.
At number five is pocket shock.
You get ready for the day, you leave your home, lock the door and you're on your way.
Then you panic, you feel for your phone and it's not just there.
You've experienced pocket shock, the terror is real.
At number four, is Binge Breakdown, who doesn't love finding a new series to watch online?
The new show is so great, you watch one episode after another.
And then you notice Netflix is not auto playing the next episode.
What's happening?
There are no more new episodes available.
This is Binge Breakdown.
That takes us to number three, Bluetooth Blues.
You've embraced the courageous wireless future.
Your phone and Bluetooth headphones are all charged up and you're ready to take on the day with your favorite music, audio book or podcast.
You head on out to the real world.
As you're listening, you noticed some dropouts at certain street corners.
It's not a big deal.
Then the dropouts become more frequent.
If you are on Android you see Bluetooth has stopped.
On iPhone you get no notes, but you get the Bluetooth Blues because now you have to hear the sounds of reality.
Horrifying.
Number two is being involuntarily offline.
No catchy name for this one.
Here is one scenario, Your at home, and your laptop says you have a WiFi connection, but there is no internet.
You go into your routers interface, and you see no internet connection.
You wander to your modem and boom, blinking lights, but not the good kind.
This is so disturbing, I am going to need a second.
Give me a break, I will be right back.
And the number one tech terror is Schroedinger's Phone.
In this scenario you've dropped your phone screen side down.
As you go to pick it up it is in a state of quantum super position.
It is both broken and not broken at the same time.
You reach for it and think no it's broken.
It's definitely broken but then you think there's a chance.
Maybe it's okay.
No cracks, this could be good.
No, it's broken, its fine, its fine, it's broken.
Those two seconds it takes for you to pick up your phone are excruciating.
Did I forget anything?
Let me know on Twitter.
I'm Iyaz and I'll see you online as long as the networks are up.
