Google's Amazon Echo competitor is coming, so let's run down the top five reasons to pick up a Google Home along with a few reasons to pass.
At number 5, it's cheaper than the Echo.

And number four, Chromecast video.

So you'll be able to say something like, okay Google.

And then a video should play on your TV through your Chromecast.
That sounds pretty cool.
At number three, multi-room.
From audio.
If you get multiple Google home devices, you could have music play throughout your house.
If you get multiple Amazon Echoes, you can't do that for some reason.
Additionally, [UNKNOWN] can send music to Chromecast audio devices.
At number two, smart home control.
Google's lifted several smart home partners at launch, Smart things, Net, Phillips you, and IT.
Amazon has a huge jump on Google and this deal, but expects Google to catch up pretty rapidly.
Well wait a second.
Here are three reasons why you should not get a Google home.
You could get similar functionality from the 50 dollar Amazon eco dot.
Also Google does not have a ton of partners at launch, and Google home is a first generation hardware product So good luck with that.
And the number one reason to pick-up a Google home is Google Assistant.
From the demos, the Google Assistant seems like it's gonna be really, really useful.
The Amazon Echo can't compete when it comes to Family questions at Google Camp.
Plus, if Google doesn't have an answer it will find something for you.
