Speaker 1: Okay, we're getting closer and closer to new iPhones. Here are the most exciting rumors about the iPhone. 13. First up is a new face for the iPhone 13. Thanks to a smaller, not when the iPhone 10 was introduced. Years ago, apple show owed a new design for the iPhone. This thing had a screen that went all the way to the bottom. The home button was gone. There were tiny bezzles all around the screen. That is until [00:00:30] you got to the top, there was this massive notch on the top, which is still present. Why did apple bother to do this design? It's all about what's in that notch. Apple's true depth camera system. Within that area, you had an IR camera flood illuminator, a front camera and a dot projector. This is the tech that makes face ID work. Apple also bragged about all the other sensors, the speaker and Mike all cramed into that.
Speaker 1: Not that's a lot of technology built into a space about 35 millimeters wide, [00:01:00] a report from Mac OTA car. It says that the iPhone 13 would feature a smaller notch at a width of around 27 millimeters. They had some crude mockups of the device as well to make the notch smaller. All the components would have to be moved around with the earpiece speaker, moving to the BELE that smaller notch would mean you get more screen. And speaking of screen, let's go to number two. You, the iPhone 13 is rumored to finally get a screen with a 120 Hertz refresh rate. You [00:01:30] may be thinking who cares about high refresh rates. It can't be that important. Heck if apple doesn't think it's a big deal, it can't be a big deal. And to that, I say, well, apple does care about high refresh rate displays. The iPad pro has had a 120 Hertz refresh rate since 2017.
Speaker 1: That's like a million years ago in technology time. It matters because it gives you a much smoother experience. When you use your phone games, look better. Motion blurs reduced and animations. Look better. Just remember that [00:02:00] every time you're interacting with your phone, there's a good chance something is being animated, whether it's a control centered or notification pain or scrolling through something, all of that stuff is being drawn on your screen. Also, this is already a feature on a number of high end phones, including these Samsung galaxy S 21, the Z flip three, and both screens of the fold three coming in at number three is an, an always on display Android users right now are wondering what apple doesn't have that yet? [00:02:30] Nope. There's an always on mode for the apple watch, but not the iPhone and always on display. Doesn't seem like it's that great a feature until you have it.
Speaker 1: You can see the time and notifications without having to fully interact with your phone. It's great. And when iPhone users get it, they will be super happy. Next up is an improved camera experience. Look, apple has been excellent at its cameras for years. The iPhone 13 should be another step in the right direction. Rumors say that the [00:03:00] next iPhone pro could have a larger sensor for its camera. That means higher quality pictures. Stabilizing tech that is found on the current Promax may be on the regular 13 pro portrait video may also become a thing on the next iPhone portrait mode. Pictures are super popular. You've got that nice blurry back around and your subject just pops. Now imagine that kind of look from your iPhone videos without having to use any wild attachments. This would require a lot of processing power. This is apple. And if [00:03:30] you've been following tech, you may know that its systems on the chip are utterly fantastic.
Speaker 1: Rumors. Also say that you may be able to change the blur effect after a video is shot and rounding out. Our list at five is a bigger battery. You know, all that cool stuff I talked about just now. Yeah, a big battery would mean you can do all that stuff for longer. Apple never touts the battery capacity. When it introduces phones, it just gives you the amount of hours the battery could survive. One, the 12 pro lasted nearly 16 hours in our tests, the S 2118 hours.
