If you've got an Amazon echo or a Google home smart speaker for Christmas I think it's a great followup purchase because both of those can control it using voice commands.
But if you were hoping for Siri compatibility this time around you're probably disappointed and you'll want to go instead to something like the iHome smart plug or the iDevice switch both of which will work with Siri.
