Hi, guys, **** Ngo here.
This is the SSD370S from Transcend.
Now if the name is not telling enough, this is the solid state drive or SSD.
Something that you replace your regular hard drive like this one here with will make the computer run much faster.
Or should I say much, much faster, because the Transcend in my testing Performs very well.
Ranking among the fastest SSD on the market.
On top of that, it also happens to be the least expensive.
Now, this 512 gigabyte here, can be had for just about $175.
Or 34 cent per gigabyte.
The dry variable form.
32 gigabyte all the way up to one terabyte.
Okay, it's fast and it's cheap.
Well we also have very high endurance meaning it can last very long time before you cannot write.
To it anymore.
Now the endurance changes on the capacity, the higher the better.
But say if you have 128 gigabyte drive of the Transcend here, you need to write 20 gigabyte to it per day, and every day.
And still you have to do that for 20 years before you can not write to it anymore.
and that means at that rate, if you have the 512 gigabyte drive or the one kilobyte drive, you have to keep asking your child, and your grand child, and maybe great grand child to continue, but the new drive also supports data encryption and for desktop computer it also includes these drive [INAUDIBLE] converter bracket if you want to make it fit into place where you place this huge desktop hard drive.
So yeah, it's all good but is there a catch?
Well, there's a minor one.
The new drug comes with a kind of short three year warranty.
Not exactly as generous as a five year or ten year found in some other drugs.
Now if you can live with that, this is an excellent buy.
For more of this, check out my full review at CNet dot com.
Basically, this is a very good SSD that is bound to last for a generation.
And, speak of that, we have to stop now to think about making babies.
They say men think about that every seven seconds.
Every six seconds.
And that's because I'm **** Ngo.
