This is The Hip Air, and as you can see, it's like air filled hips.
It's by a company called He Light out of France.
For ten years they have been putting this product together.
The idea is that it's basically airbags for your hips.
And what happens is, is the middle, there's a sensor, so it can detect if someone's falling.
And for example, it could be an elderly person or someone limited in mobility and these airbags deploy to protect their hips from being broken.
And the technology is pretty simple.
Basically inside here, is some electronics.
And there's a CO2 cartridge that deploys the air for the bags.
Once they're deployed, they're easy to deflate and you can just roll them back up, sound like you would pack a parachute again.
So these are reusable.
This product is gonna be available in Europe this spring of 2018 for 800 euros and will be available in the US in September
