What is this movie about?
I mean, I gave a description but you tell me?
I think it's how far would a man go to to win and to modernize and create the modern world and you had this the ego and the ambition of Edison who was also very concerned and very carefully curated his own image and wanted to be remember, which is Is a totally valid way and it's totally a part of us as human beings as a side of us that wants glory and wants to be remembered and wants to leave behind the legacy.
And then there are the rare people like Westinghouse who didn't care about that he was truly a benevolent industrialist and inventor and creator But was more concerned with how he left the world and not concerned at all about his name or his image.
When you looked at, Westinghouse had as a character who was he to you, how did you get inside his head to bring him to life?
There's something very alluring about playing an industrialist who's not just.
stomping all over everybody just to get what they want you know, who actually thinks that it is important to consider who is making the products and what is their life like and are they being taken care of.
So I thought it would be a good thing to get out into the world You want to make sure you don't get too bogged down and trying to act like you're in the past or whatever that you just you know, these are all, it's hard to remember because when you see pictures of all these people, it looks so different and, but there are people just like us in there.
They're not a lot of the things that happened in this movie.
Are still happening today just in a much progressed fashion in terms of innovation and people quibbling about how to to move forward and should it be this or this and how should people be treated and these are all themes that.
Are very timely even though they are in the movie old-timey.
This movie is called The Director's Cut.
Can you explain why that is part of the-
Sure.
It was the previous version of the film that was not finished work and And so the Studio One on One give me a chance to re edit my my film add.
We shot five new scenes to finish telling the story and a new score.
And it became my vision for the film, and the best that I was able to make.
