[ Music ] ^M00:00:05 >> Ladies and gentlemen, it's the 404 time. I'm Jeff Bakalar. >> I'm Wilson Tang. >> And I'm Justin Yu. >> This is the show where Shaun White's going to help us verbally abuse Wilson Tang. >> Yes. >> I'm so glad you have to bring in people to do this. >> He's got it coming. [ Laughter ] >> [Inaudible] 5 minutes he doesn't hate you. >> Oh man, this is [inaudible]. >> The feeling's mutual. Ladies and gentlemen, Shaun White on the show today. [ Applause ] >> What's going on dude? >> Not much. >> What's up? >> Thanks for having me. >> No prob -- thanks for being here man. >> Yeah. >> Professional snowboarder, professional skateboarder: pretty much the coolest guy. So obviously we've got to talk about your new snowboarding game. >> Yeah. >> Shaun White's Snowboarding from Oobi Soft on every platform there is basically right? >> We've got it in the studio right now. >> Yeah. >> Show the viewers the video. >> Got the PS3 version in the studio. >> The PS3 version... >> It's also available for the Wii, the XBox 360, everything. >> It's on you know PS3, you know XBox, everything. >> What's really cool is I've gotten to play it. I've been lucky enough to get to a couple of Oobi Soft events in New York. Got to play it with the balance board. >> Oh right on. >> It's pretty rad. >> Yeah, I mean it was weird because when we first came out with the balance board I'm like "There's no way I'm going to do it" because they told me you know "Oh, we want to get this board." And immediately I thought in my mind like "Okay, it's going to resemble a snow board or something and -- covered with flames." [ Laughter ] >> You know, something ridiculous. You know what I mean? >> Tribal. >> Yeah, yeah exactly some stereotype of what I would be digging. And so I said no but then the board showed up at the house and I tried it and it was you know unreal. >> Right. >> And it works man. >> Yeah. >> A lot of people you know, they're all skeptical about [inaudible] -- and it feels sort of - I don't want to say the exact same experience - but you've still got the same like heel to toe sort of thing going on. >> Yeah, yeah and then I just -- I don't know, I was a fan of like you lean forward to tuck and you know the vision blurs out. >> For sure. >> Yeah, it's really cool. >> Absolutely. So now how much influence, how much a part of developing the game were you involved in? >> That's what's been crazy. It's been 2 years of working on this thing and so... >> Two years? >> Yeah. Because you know to build a platform from the start -- you know from ground up is really hard to have the -- and I didn't know any of this. I was -- I'm sitting in this [inaudible]. I'm with these guys and I'm like "Right, so...?" >> That looks good. >> So what do we do? What do we do now? [ Laughter ] >> You know, but I did motion capture stuff. We can't motion capture snowboarding obviously because it's too big. >> Right. >> You need a contained area so the next best thing was skateboarding. >> Alright. >> And so I'm in this like [inaudible] outfit. I was traveling time. [ Laughter ] >> [Inaudible] ridiculous outfit, yeah. And I had the sensors all over and so I did that. And then we stopped in L.A. and I voiced over for my character which was super awkward. They're like having me -- you know what I mean? It's in a sound booth. And they're like "Okay, you know, you're yelling at your friend over the helicopter." So I'm just screaming... [ Laughter ] >> "Avalanche! Avalanche! You got to get out of there!" [ Laughter ] >> "You got to get [inaudible] out of there!" [ Laughter ] >> Like you know what I mean? I'm screaming my brains out and you know really funny. So when you see my guy in there, it's pretty sweet. It's like you know all my personality and my character. It's a little wild if you can imagine me on the hill now I get -- you know kids like there's this train of them following me. [ Laughter ] >> Dude you totally have to disguise... >> And I wear a mask. This is what I look like on the hill. >> Yeah. >> And they still know it's you. >> They see this. >> Yeah. >> There he is. They just see a little bit of the... >> You've got to tuck that away man. >> Yeah. >> You know, the hair coming out. >> Alright, we're going to take a break. We will be back in a few minutes and stick around. There's more to come. ^M00:03:31 [ Music ]
