>> Welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Patrick Norton. Every time you tried to tweak your system or launch a new app, Vista asks you for confirmation. Sure, it's Microsoft's way of protecting you, but it's unbelievably annoying. It's called the User Account Control and thankfully, you can make it go away. Open the Control Panel and click User Accounts and Family Safety, then choose User Accounts and you'll see Turn User Account Control On or Off. Uncheck the box in the next screen and you're done with the incessant nagging, nagging, nagging for Vista. You are in control now. Just keep in mind this feature does serve a purpose. Vista allows different users to elevate their permissions on the system by accepting these prompts, but these also warn you in case some weird piece of nefarious software you downloaded is trying to do something without telling you. Now, this isn't any concern for you and you're dead tired of clicking continue add nauseum, disable it. Got a tip for us to pass along to the rest of the Tekzilla crew, e-mail us tekzilla@revision3.com and as always, tekzilla.com is the place to find more tips, tricks, product reviews and how-tos.
