>> Hey everyone, welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Veronica Belmont. Like all web browsers, Firefox keeps frequently used info in its cache. It helps save time reloading sites that you visit frequently, but if you're running low on space or simply wanna move the cache folder to another location for security reasons then Tekzilla viewer Brad [assumed spelling] has the answer. He writes, to change the cache folder location, just go to the About:config page -- our old pal. Right-click and select new String. When it ask for the preference name, type Browser.cache.disk.parent_directory. For the Value type in the path of the new location. For example C:\Windows\Temp. Firefox will then create a folder called cache within the folder you've specified. So if you've got a faster external hard drive or just wanna free of a bit of space somewhere, this is an easy way to move those files to a more convenient location. Thanks Brad. Got a tip for us to pass along to the rest of the TZ crew, e-mail us at tekzilla@revision3.com. And as always, tekzilla.com, it's "the Place" to find more tips, tricks, product reviews and how-tos.
