Tech Minute: Forecast App manages your whereabouts
Tech Industry
I'm a planner, so scrolling through my friend's (Porsche square?) check ins or location details on Facebook, doesn't do me much good.
I needed to know an hour ago, or before, if there was any hope of meeting up with them.
That's where a new App called Forecast comes in.
This free smartphone download lets you choose a location and set a time in the future for where you're going to be hanging out.
That could be later in the day, the week or even in a year.
Right now, I'm going to let my friends know that I'll be stopping by neighborhood pizza joint at about 7:00 or add a 140 character description of the plan and then share it with my network of friends within Forecast.
You can also get the word out through Facebook and Twitter.
You'll definitely get more out of this App if you have a large circle of friends.
That way, more people will know what you're up to, and will be able to meet you out.
Making plans has never been so hassle free.
