Hi, there, I?m Molly Wood, here with a Quick Tip on how to subscribe to podcasts on
your Tivo.
This works for standalone Series2 and up TiVos that are connected to the broadband
Internet. You can subscribe to pretty much any video podcast you want and watch it on
your TV instead of on your tiny iPod screen or your computer. Here?s what to do.
Press the TiVo button on your remote, and then choose Music, Photos, and Showcases.
Scroll way down to Podcaster, here. You?ll find some podcasts pre-loaded and you just
select them to subscribe. But if you want something that is MYSTERIOUSLY NOT
LISTED under, say, Science and Tech. Oh, I don?t know, like the Buzz Report. Then
you?ll have to choose this wonderful option: Enter a URL.
Now, remember, the URL you?re entering isn?t a specific link to the show. You need the
subscription URL. Often, but not always, it ends in XML. In the case of, say, the Buzz
Report, you?ll find it by going to podcast.cnet.com, click the RSS button, and then use the
link that?s meant to be put into podcast software.
So, let?s type that in here ?
And that?s it. Now your video podcasts will show up on your TiVo as soon as a new
