Spotify might be closer than ever to purchasing upload and streaming service SoundCloud.
This isn't the first time Spotify has attempted an acquisition but according to the Financial Times, talks are further along than previous meetings.
Spotify might be feeling the heat from other streaming services like Apple Music Which actually has less than half of the paid subscribers that Spotify has.
The FCC says it will wait to vote on a proposal that will give cable subscribers the ability to ditch their cable boxes and the rental fees that go along with them.
This would also require cable providers to make apps for a number of different platforms to make it easier to receive their broadcasts On average, cable customers pay $231 a year on rental fees.
There's no word yet on a new date for the vote.
