Sony Vaio T ultrabook slims down on priceSony's first ultrabook looks a lot like the thin Vaio Z, but there's a big difference: the Vaio T costs a lot less.
I am Scott Stein and its ultra -- season that's right Intel has announced its latest third generation. Core I series processors. And -- behold lots of manufacturers are trotting out their latest ultra books. In fact a lot of manufacturers. That had -- ultra books before are introducing -- now. Such as Sony. Who -- debuted the bio key. Now does is look familiar it should in fact it looks a bit like -- -- -- or. Of Vaio -- This has been around for awhile. As last year's Sony by busy and it's their top of the line super lightweight super fast laptop in quite expensive to. Now the -- -- steals a lot of that design and is nearly the same size but it costs a lot less this is 799. When you're getting those that lower voltage. Core I five processor now is a third generation so it's a little bit of bump up in terms of speed. Little better multitasking. It's got better integrated graphics than last year. What's also interesting about these new ultra books is that instead of it -- You're getting 500 gigabyte hybrid hard drive here and what that means -- you're getting 32 gigabyte SSD. In addition to the 500 gigabyte hard drive which provides some faster speeds and access but also means more storage and the funny thing is -- right now. A lot of laptops are offering that 500 gigabyte hard drive. For less money more storage less money. Maybe slightly faster speeds but it seems a pretty good compromise right now and it helps his laptop in -- at 799. Now seven and -- -- not sheep for a laptop but it's pretty cheap for Sony Vaio which usually ten debt -- the top of the market. It's also the entry price last year for the Sony Vaio -- here's -- gets a bit tricky because Sony. Makes thin laptops -- some companies have never made a really thin laptop and an ultra book is their chance to show off. Now in this instance this is pretty similar in size to -- as well and the -- got an optical drive dvd drive and sometimes got integrated. And dedicated graphics and -- -- getting pretty confusing now rate. That's the whole thing. This line is getting a little bit confusing. What you're getting here is no optical drive you're getting that core I thought the five -- gigabyte hard drive. Integrated graphics. And it's pretty portable 3.4 pounds thicker than a MacBook Air but about the same size. It's a pretty nice system. Good battery life by. This keyboard is really shallow I mean really shallow Noble's -- it's been painted on. I'm it's not -- you know that's sort of the same as the vice disease keyboard. So if you've seen that before. You see -- here now. From the track pad however -- a lot bigger quantities that's -- I'm Scott Stein and that's a look at Sony's new ultra book.
