>> Hey everyone, I'm Jeff Bakalar, Assistant editor here at CNET.com. Today we're gonna be looking at the Sony DVP FX 820. The FX 820 is a portable DVD player that has a great viewing screen. That's the best thing we liked about this. Sony has increased the resolution on this 8-inch screen from 480 by 220 to a whooping 800 by 480. It delivers the best screen quality we've seen on a portable DVD player in a long time. It is a bit heavy though with the battery installed at the bottom it weighs almost 3 pounds. The player can play MP3 and JPEG files. Unfortunately it doesn't have any support for other file formats. There is no USB or Flash memory card reader. But it does come with AV cables and a car charger. Remote is pretty cool, we liked it, but what was really cool about this is that the player itself has two-IR sensors. Meaning, no matter which way you hold the player or view it whether or not you have the screens slid around. You will be able to use the remote control. The FX 820 is also available in a variety of colors and it has a 6-hour battery. On the side you got two headphone jacks, an AV in and out port as well as a digital audio out. The FX 820 is priced slightly above average, but it's totally worth it because the screen is absolutely gorgeous. I'm Jeff Bakalar and this has been the Sony DVP FX 820.
