>> If you're at work and you need to leave your desk, but you don't want everyone to see your screen, what are you going to do? I'm Brian Tong with CNET.com, and I'll show you some keyboard shortcuts to sleep, restart, and shutdown your Mac. Now, it's probably most useful when people are around you, and you just want to sleep your display. So press shift, control, and the eject button all together, and it's lights out, but your applications will still be running on your computer. If you'd like to sleep your entire machine, press option, command, and eject together, and it's sleeping tight. Now, there are keyboard shortcuts to restart and shut down your computer as well. So to restart, press control, command, and eject together. And to shut down, press control, option, command, and eject. Now, I know, you don't want to remember all of those button combinations, so try this out. Press control and the eject button on your keyboard, and a prompt gives you options to sleep, restart, or shut down. On a laptop, you can also get this prompt by pressing the power button once. Then you can press "S" to sleep, "R" to restart, and "enter" to shutdown, or escape to cancel out of it. I'm Brian Tong for CNET.com with some keyboard shortcuts for your Mac. Use them wisely.
