Who is still at Uber now? At some point, and the shake ups at Uber will stop, when that is, we're still waiting. Uber CEO Travis Kalanick has resigned. The news comes a week after he took a leave of absence from the company. Kalanick will remain on the company's board of directors and still holds a majority of Uber's voting shares. The US Times reports that Kalanick quit the CEO position after five of Uber's major investors demanded it. Kalanick said in a statement, I love Uber more than anything in the world. And I have accepted the investors request to step aside, so that Uber can go back to building. Just last week, Uber lost it's vice president of business Emil Micheal. He was considered Uber's second in command. In that same week, Board Member, David Bonderman, resigned after making an inappropriate comment at a company wide meeting. In late May, the head of Uber Self-Driving Car Initiative, Anthony Levandowski,e was fired. He was in the middle of a lawsuit between Uber and Alphabet's Waymo. Before, Callinicos resigned, Uber announced it will be run be a group of 14 Senior Executives. Will that structure continue or will the committee seek a new head? We'll have to see.
