Hi guys. This is the RT-AC88U, the latest dual band WiFi router from Asus and might just be the best dual band WiFi router ever. It has 8 gigabit LAN port that doubled the amount normally found in other routers You can even aggregate two of them into a single super-fast connection or use one of them as a second WAN port in case you have two separate broadband connections at home. Now, as a wi-fi router this one here can deliver up to 2167 megabits per second on the 5 gigahertz frequency band. And up to 1,000 megabit per second on a 2.4 gigahertz frequency band. Now obviously those on paper in real world, there are no client of that speed existing yet. But in testing it did delivered quite fast performance up to 700 megabit per second and it has very good range too. My previous values from ASUS, the AC88U has a robust, easy and fun-to-use interface and a slew of features, including the ability to keep your home network safe online, and a set of game boost features designed specifically for gamers. You can also model your home network in [UNKNOWN] and find out all kinds of things, such as who is hogging all the bandwidth and so on. And when coupled with an extra hard drive it can be quite a powerful [UNKNOWN] too. Basically this is the best dual band wi-fi router that money can buy, and by money I mean $280. In fact I found it a lot better deal than this much more expensive and a lot heavier RGAC5200 here, which is another story entirely. But, to be cool though it should have a book, which I do. But, that's only because the router which has been the first look which is this one right here. The RT-AC88U from Asus.
