[MUSIC] The rise of virtual reality headsets like the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift has led to new arms race in gaming desktops heating up a category that we haven't talked much about in the last few years. [MUSIC] Adding fuel to the fire. Is a new generation of graphic cards that's the most important component in the gaming or VR ready PC. Nvidia has the new GeForce GTX 1080 which cost around 600$. And you can already get it in systems or Morgan PC, Alienware, Digitalstorm, Falcon Norwest, Acer, Velocity, Micro and others. For this roundup, we're testing everything from single card desktops that cost around $2000, to towers with over [UNKNOWN] CPUs and dual GPUs runnings in SLI that can cost up to $6000. One of my highlights is being able to test a couple of these all in one vis tops with giant curved 34 inch screen. The verdict is that these new cards part of the first wave of PC components that we partly designed with VR in mind offer amazing performance. A video 1080 card bought separately or as part of a new gaming desktop is Expensive yes, but not outrageously so. And the pair of dual card systems we tested showed us big boosts in our tests but keep in mind, you could always start with a single graphics card system and then add a second card later on if your PC case has room for it.
