[MUSIC] Guys, you are about to witness phone history. I am at the Synaptics Group, we are looking at a Vivo phone and it is the first phone ever To use an in display finger print reader. Theres no need to clutter the phone face with a home button, that to be perfectly honest, you don't always use. Instead, you have a digital home button that is just a clean, simple target that you hit only when you need it, that is only when you're unlocking the phone. The rest of the time it fades away and you get full use of that beautiful display and those slim side bezels that are so in right now. So this is really beneficial because it will change the way that phones are designed in the next year and possibly the years to come. The way it works is really interesting. A company called Synaptics put a fingerprint sensor and some circuitry beneath the display, and the display is what is underneath the glass. That's what you look at. When you put your finger on the reader, the phone lights up around the target to read your fingerprint. It's a totally different kind of technology than what we're seeing in fingerprint readers on phones now. This is actually really huge. This is something that has been rumored for the Samsung Galaxy S8, and then the Note 8 after that and nd then the iPhone 10 after that. It's gonna revolutionize the whole phone industry and every phone is gonna have it. And that didn't happen. Instead, it is this phone from Chinese company Vivo that has it. This is going to be the first of many of its kind. We're gonna start seeing this in phones in 2018 and beyond. [MUSIC]
