Nintendo announces the SNES classic. After the success of the Nintendo classic, Nintendo announces the Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition. It will cost $80 when it arrives on September 29th. The Super Nintendo Nintendo Classic comes preloaded with 21 games, including the unreleased Star Fox 2. Nintendo says you'll need to unlock Star Fox 2 by completing the first level of Star Fox, which is also pre-installed. You'll find a lot of great games, including: Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past, and even Street Fighter 2 Turbo Hyperfighting. The console itself will come with two wired controllers and hooks up to your TV using and HDMI cable. The NES classic ships with just one controller The SNES Classic looks like a miniature Super Nintendo, and it's pretty tiny next to its two controllers. Nintendo produced the NES Classic edition for five months, and sold over two million units. One of the major complaints about the NES Classic was that it was very difficult to find due to huge demand. Nintendo did not mention if the SNES Classic would be a limited run.
