Speaker 1: The Microsoft surface duo two may have leaked. Let's take a look. The YouTube channel tech rat posted a video titled Microsoft surface duo two leaked photos, 2021. The device looks a lot like the original Microsoft surface duo with a huge camera bump on the back. The camera bump houses, three cameras with a flash to the right window. Central says these pictures are the real deal. They've got a very good track record when it comes [00:00:30] to this kind of thing. Window central says there's an ultra wide angle telephoto and standard lens in that camera housing, it seems to have the same style of hinge as the original surface duo. So if you completely fold back the dual screens on the duo two, you'd be hitting that camera bump. That seems like an odd choice. You may be thinking, Hey, maybe that weird design is just a prototype. Speaker 1: Microsoft will not add a ridiculous camera bump on their device. Right? Well, windows central says the pictures show a near final prototype. Yikes. [00:01:00] The original duo did and feature any kind of rear camera. However pictures did float around showing a prototype duo with a camera bump on one side. The other side had a divot. So you could fold the duo completely back without bumping the camera. The pictures of the duo too, do not show any kind of divot. The dedicated fingerprint sensor seems to be gone too. It may be integr into the power button like on other phones. As for specs reports say that the duo two should feature the latest from Qualcomm, a Snapdragon [00:01:30] 8 88 with 5g. It could also have NFC for wireless payments. The images from tech rats don't show it, but the duo two could have larger displays than the original. Speaker 1: The original duo was met with general confusion review said the hardware was quite sleek, but the software needed work. The dual screen approach was not as great as it could have been. Also, there were a few apps that supported cross-screen multitasking. The only camera on the duo was located on the inside and it was eh, [00:02:00] then there was the price, a $1,400, $1,400 should not buy a just okay. Experience from a phone. The phone space is incredibly competitive, so it was hard to justify the original price for the duo. For comparison, the Samsung galaxy Z fold two originally cost $2,000 and it had a seamless folding inner screen, a cover screen and a boatload of three on the back one in the cover screen. And one in the inner screen, the first surface duo is kind of a fluff. [00:02:30] You can now pick one up for less than $500. Speaker 1: If you look around the next version is going to need a lot of improvements. It's not just about the hardware that rear camera could be great. But if the camera app is frustrating and slow, like the original duo, that's going to be a problem. Microsoft will need to make sure the software experience is topnotch. If the duo two is going to be any kind of success, maybe the original duo was tough for Microsoft because it was the company's first Android device. Maybe they've gotten a lot [00:03:00] of feedback and are making amazing changes. That's something I want to believe. I love it when cool tech actually works, but competition has not let up in phones. Samsung is poised to release a new galaxy fold with reports saying it could start at $1,600. Then there are rumors that Google is to release a foldable pixel in the near future. What do you think of a new surface duo? Is this something you would buy?
