Imagine what virtual reality would like if you could roam freely without being tethered down to a computer with a million cables. That's what Intel has done with its project Alloy. It's basically a powerful gaming PC strapped to your head. This is an all in one headset. Battery pack on the back, Intel's Real Sense cameras on the front, and Upper inside. But what's it really like to roam freely into virtual space? So I'm about to enter the world of gaming right now. What I see is the living room but as soon as I hit the target with this controller, everything around me is supposed to start to change and become maybe my worst nightmare. I'm not sure, I'm gonna try this out. Here I go. [MUSIC] Merging realities, everything's changing. I'm in some kind of room with some machines. This coffee table has turned into a portal of some sort. The couch is now a big battery. Walking around. More ammo. [BLANK_AUDIO] Sorry, sorry. [LAUGH] There's ammo right there. Okay, have ammo, I'm good. No, no, no. [BLANK_AUDIO]. Need more ammo. [BLANK_AUDIO] Give me my ammo. [BLANK_AUDIO] I'm cornered up against the wall. Just take me. So we still have a ways to go before we see this out on the market, but it will go out to developers this year according to Intel. [MUSIC]
