Speaker 1: Welcome welcome Speaker 1: To cyber rodeo. When, uh, when you first started out to Tesla, I thought maybe we had optimistically a 10% chance of succeeding. This is now our six major factory, uh, and now we're in three continents. So it's actually, uh, great for us to have two major, [00:00:30] uh, vehicle plants in north America of a, an awesome factory in, in China. And, uh, one in Europe that I was just, uh, at recently. Um, so this is gonna be a, a huge, uh, improvement for, for Tesla. And this is also Tesla's, uh, global headquarters. Why Austin? Uh, well, actually I, I asked, I asked the Tesla team, uh, because, uh, you know, California's great and we're, we're, we're continuing to expand in California, uh, but, [00:01:00] uh, we're only outta, we ran outta room and so we need a place where we can be really big and there's no place like Texas. Wanna give you a sense of the size of this thing. Speaker 1: It's not small, but if you put the building on its side, uh, it would, it's taller than the Bourge, uh, Khalifa, uh, that's too scale. Uh, it's 80 feet tall, um, it's, uh, uh, equivalent [00:01:30] to three pentagons. This is the largest factory building in the world world by volume. So yeah, you know, prototypes, uh, are, you know, they require imagination and, and they're not easy, but, um, relative to production, prototypes are easy. Production is hard, and this building is the, the most advanced car factory that earth has ever seen. The, the team's doing great work in, in Fremont and California, but the there's, we, we took a lot of lessons learned from that where [00:02:00] the, the buildings were separate. There's a lot of movement between the buildings. Um, and, uh, the, the, the thing that we thought makes sense is to really think of it, like, like a chip, like an integrated circuit, uh, combine everything together in one package. Speaker 1: And this is, this is a case of raw materials. Come in one side, they get formed into a cell. They get formed into a pack. Uh, then, uh, we, we cast the front rear body. The pack itself is structural [00:02:30] and, uh, outcomes, a finished product. So it's raw materials in one side cars out the other side. So we're, we're building our own, uh, battery cells. Uh, we, we think the most advanced, uh, cell in the world here at giga, Texas. And, uh, we think of the time, this will probably be the, the biggest, uh, cell factory in the world. As I was saying, it it's, it's a revolutionary car manufacturing to basically make a car out three major parts, a, a CA rear, a structural pack, and a, a cast front. [00:03:00] So why you looking at all the biggest casting machines ever made, uh, And it's its kind of a crazy thing to, to make a car this way it's never been done before. When we, uh, were trying to figure this out, there were six major casting, uh, manufacturers in the world. We called six, uh, five said, no one said maybe I was like, that sounds like a yes. Speaker 1: So, uh, Speaker 1: With a lot of effort and uh, and, and, and, uh, great ideas for [00:03:30] the team, uh, we've made the world's biggest casting machine work very efficiently, uh, to create an and radically simplify the manufacturing of the car. And, uh, we're, we're aiming just with the model Y program alone, uh, to get to half a million units a year. Um, and then we're gonna start manufacturing Cybert truck here next year. What I can say is we're gonna move to just truly massive scale, uh, scale that, uh, no company has, uh, ever achieved in, in, in the history of humanity. [00:04:00] Um, and it, and it, we need that has to happen in order to transition the world to sustainable energy. So massive scale, full self thriving. Uh, that's gonna be a dedicated Robax, that's gonna look pretty fruit. So it's gonna look, it's gonna look, uh, uh, quite future, uh, then, and then of course we got the Tesla robot optimist. Uh, this is, uh, I think, I think, I think optimist [00:04:30] will, will obviate what, uh, it even means what an economy even means. So, uh, it'll be able to, you know, basically anything that, that, uh, humans don't wanna do opt most will do it. Um, and, and then we've got, and, and I think, I think we, we have a shot at being in, um, in, in production, uh, for version one of, of optimist, hopefully next year. Speaker 2: So, Speaker 1: And, uh, in, in the, and it's cyber truck is [00:05:00] coming next year. We'll be in production with cyber truck next year, uh, will be a production with the Roadster and with semi And now, uh, let us deliver our first, uh, Tesla cars made in Texas. So, um, [00:05:30] we're gonna smash the window again. Speaker 3: I didn't bring my hammer at this time. Speaker 1: Oh, but let's forgot the hammer. So, uh, uh, anyway, what welcome fronts? Uh, so Speaker 3: Awesome to have you guys little, you want me to do it? I feel like I've broken up things around here. [00:06:00] I don't know. Maybe we'll pass Next time. Next time I promise. I promise. Speaker 1: I promise anything you wanna say about the cyber truck? Uh, Speaker 3: Cyber truck is gonna be awesome. I mean, you see it here. You've seen it before. You've seen it over there. It's worth, it's worth the wait, what do you mean? Um, Yeah, well worth the wait. It's [00:06:30] gonna be awesome. Speaker 1: I, I, I think this will be on Magnum ops and, um, I mean, you can see some of the changes we've made already. There are, are no handles Who needs handles. The college can tell that you're there and it just knows that it needs to open. So, So, uh, uh, I think we're gonna have an incredible cyber truck product for you next year. Um, it's gonna blow your minds and, uh, yeah. Speaker 3: [00:07:00] So yeah, there is no other truck. Yeah. Everything else fails in comparison. This is the only one you need. Speaker 1: So, And we can't, we can't wait to build this here and, uh, deliver them to you. Sorry for the delay. It's been, it's been an intense couple years, uh, uh, but we're gonna have this for you next year and you're gonna, it's gonna be great. Um, and it's gonna be like just a whole one kickout product after another, uh, uh, starting next year and then some cool stuff that we haven't [00:07:30] even talked about. So let's see. Uh, thanks again for coming. I hope you having a great time. Uh, Yeah, Here at Tesla, we believe in have in throwing great parties. So Let's get this party started And have a fantastic time. Right? I love you [00:08:00] guys.
