Speaker 1: It's already working. Hello, another robo call Today. I have a rare first look at a never before scene, kind of mobile phone. Well, maybe [00:00:30] you have seen this one before. This is baby's first mobile phone. Now an actual working mobile phone for adults. Like it really works. This is the chaos energy that I live for. Now. Just take your work. Call on a smiling face. Life is madness. We need chatter. The Fisher price telephone more than ever. This is a hero of 2021. [00:01:00] He's had a few different looks over the years. He's also done some work in Hollywood. Perhaps you've seen him in toy story three, if you'd help Speaker 2: Us one toy to another I'd sure be Speaker 1: Grateful. And today he's still out there doing the Lord's work of teaching kids. What a phone used to do before apps not only was original chatter telephone. Your first mobile phone, It's got a sorta [00:01:30] slim line design, uh, an advanced rotary dial colors, numbers, eyes, all good things. Uh, it's rechargeable via USB cable. It's got a charged time of about four hours and, uh, you get nine hours of talk time and, uh, it has a 15 foot Bluetooth range. So the idea here is that you're connecting this via Bluetooth to your actual phone, iPhone or Android in case [00:02:00] you get confused, not a toy. All right, chatter. Let's get you outta there. Speaker 2: Ooh. Speaker 1: Give your childhood a call. Let's get you out. Little buddy. There you go. Now you're free. Let's see. What do we got inside? All right. You got your USB charge cable. [00:02:30] Ooh, USBC an owner's manual. Oh, look how look, how it folds out. Ah, you could just frame that. It's like art charging. Okay. We had charge the set up. Oh, there's a red power button on the bottom placing and receiving calls. Oh, it's just what I hope for. You get to rotate this baby USB charger input. Rolling wheels. Headset. Okay. Alright. [00:03:00] We can figure this out. Come on. Toddlers can figure it out. We don't need no instructions. All right. So we have here a couple of buttons. We have a lock and unlock, but now I do need those instructions. Hold on. Oh, it's to lock the wheels. Okay. Speaker 1: Hello youth. Are you there? All right, so there's a power button here. Oh, it's actually also a speaker phone, which is pretty cool. You give a speaker phone button here. Oh, I'm so glad. It's not like [00:03:30] buttons. It's the real deal what's here. Oh, actually has he phone check? So you may be wondering what kind of features does chatter have? Well, it has LTE. Let's talk everywhere technology because he travels. I mean, this is just such a smooth experience. And as you roll notice, chatter looks you up and down, not with judgment, but with a of your [00:04:00] decision to buy him really putting wheels on a phone is one phone feature. Apple has not copied yet. So I mean, apple did put wheels on the Mac pro Speaker 3: Optional wheels, make it easy to move the Mac pro around your studio. Speaker 1: Chattered was first. Okay. Not exactly. Hands free. Uh, really leaning into the hands on with this design, uh, a little practice you should be okay. So [00:04:30] to reiterate, this is not a toy. This is a working gadget. This is a real item. You can buy for $60 at best buy. And if it costs that much, then we are going to put it to the test. Let me Bluetooth connect this sucker. Let's let's do that. All right. You can on the bottom. Uh, this is the power button to get. 'em going. Speaker 4: Hi there. Speaker 1: Let's connect. You good to go. Let's [00:05:00] give it a shot. Let my dad's home. Speaker 4: 3, 2 0 2 8, 7, 7. Speaker 1: Oh, it's so soft. Hello. Hey, can you hear me? Hi, hardly Speaker 4: This new phone, um, bought, you know, for Speaker 1: The house. That's what you're on. [00:05:30] Oh, well, well, well I'm using a new phone too. Can you hear me better now? I, uh, I didn't know how to adjust volume the last time I called you now, you sound great. I had to turn it up through the phone cuz it's Bluetooth. That was the one thing that didn't make sense. Of course, a proper test of a phone. Like this means I need to put it to the kid test what you want Speaker 4: Me to do all Speaker 1: The work, even though it's for adults, Speaker 5: No way, Speaker 1: But was [00:06:00] designed for kids originally Speaker 5: 3 3 0 0 2, 2. Speaker 6: Welcome to Verizon wire. We're unable to complete your call to speak to our Speaker 5: Customer. Service will prefer to Speaker 1: Do I put chatter through a thorough CNET test and I gotta say passes with flying colors. Uh, [00:06:30] if I was ranking the chatter, I would definitely give it a nine outta 10. The pros and cons, uh, pro uh, chatter has got these wobbly eyes, uh, a rainbow palette numbers. Definitely good to have more of that in my life. Uh, cons it doesn't have apps, uh, no camera, at least this phone doesn't hide the fact that it is in fact watching you. So I appreciate the honesty there. Welcome Speaker 6: To enter your meeting ID [00:07:00] followed by town. Speaker 1: There is one thing I notice that is a little awkward. If it's actively connected and paired to your cell phone. Well, it becomes a speaker for when you are playing music or other videos on social media. So if you're just goofing around on your phone, you'll probably be, uh, turning this off. Love you. Speaker 5: Bye. Speaker 1: [00:07:30] You know, we're having fun with this here, but there actually is a trend happening right now, uh, with these novelty gifts that give you something tangible to hold while making a phone call that isn't your actual phone. Now, maybe the chatter isn't for you. Maybe, you know, this is a little bit much for your home decor. Uh, you're looking for something a little more subtle. I would suggest, uh, something like a banana phone. Yeah. [00:08:00] That, it's also a real thing. Speaker 1: I wanna thank you for sticking around on this journey together about the chatter telephone. It really is a historical item. Uh, one that is iconic in our culture, and it's nice to see at Fisher price and the folks at Mattel have not given up on an old product and are, are really infusing new life into something from our past. I would [00:08:30] like to hear from you, uh, what items from your childhood would you like to see be made into actual working products? And if, um, uh, you wanna call me anytime? Uh, I'll be here. Just, just waiting by, um, by, by my new friend. Speaker 5: Hello? Oh, I, sorry. I think I have your phone. Oh yeah. Oh one oh one. Oh, oh, oh yeah. Yeah. [00:09:00] I'm still here. Oh, bye. Bye. Bye.
