We finally know a lot more about Disney's new streaming service Disney Plus. In an investor call, the company laid out its plans for content, pricing, and launch date for its upcoming service. So, what did we learn? Well, content wise, it's a stacked line up. Disney confirmed the entire Marvel cinematic universe would be there with titles like Captain Marvel, Ironman and more available on launch day. Future Marvel movies will be exclusively streamed to the service So, you won't be finding any Phase 4 superhero movies on Netflix. It's also launching a handful of original TV shows featuring some familiar faces, like Scarlet Witch and Vision, The Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, and also an animated series called Marvel's What If, that investigates alternate histories in the MCU. Of course, Disney's deep library of films and shows will be there, including most of the Star Wars library and its flagship original series, The Mandalorian, with the company adding more existing and new content over time. Pixar shorts and features will also be on the service. The biggest news from the investor event was the M Price. Disney+ Launches on November 12th and will cost a shockingly low $7 a month in the US. That could trigger a price war among streaming services like HBO Now and Netflix, which should be competing against a legacy studio in the streaming face for the first time when Disney+ launches We'll be keeping a close eye on the streaming wars as they unfold, here at CNET.COM.
