[MUSIC] The Windows 10 anniversary update brings a few new additions to cortana. Here is what it can do. Cortana now lives above the lock screen. So you can use the same commands that you're used to. Like, hey cortana, what's 20 pounds in kilogram? [SOUND] 20 pounds is approximately 9.07 kilograms. With music playing from the lock screen, you can say, hey Cortana. Skip this track. You can also pause and resume music as well. Cortana can now show notifications from your phone on the Windows 10 Desktop Turn on this setting on Windows 10 by going to Cortana Settings > Send notifications between devices and then signing with your Microsoft account. Then install the Cortana app. To switch this feature on, go to Cortana Settings, tap Sync notifications, then select all relevant options like incoming messages Miss calls or app notification sync. Call, messages and notifications from the phone now pop up on the screen, you can read and respond to them from the desktop. Misplace your phone, say hey Cortana, ring my phone. Sure. I'll try and ring you phone. [BLEEP] Send directions from PC to phone just say, hey Cultana get me directions to IKEA in Emeryville. Getting you directions to IKEA 4400 Shellmound Street, Emeryville, California, 94608. And now it pops up in your phone on the default app. Kortana now doesn't need a time frame attached to reminders, just say something like, hey Kortana, remember my frequent flier is 54321. Add reminders from pages in Microsoft Edge by going to the share button. And then Cortana reminders. Now this will attach a link to a reminder so for example I want to remember this good pizza place. So I'm going to type in good pizza place. Now when I want to find it again I just say Hey Cortana. What was that good pizza place? I found one reminder with that good pizza place in the title.
