Here's what's making news on road show. Volkswagen is testing Level 4 autonomy capable E Golf's on the streets of Hamburg and that's awesome, especially since Volkswagen isn't usually very vocal about it self driving car development. Each of these This Egolf model is equipped with 14 cameras, 11 lidar units and seven radar sensors. Volkswagen is working with Hamburg to upgrade it on five and a half miles of road in the city to act as an autonomous tester for the cars. Tesla's navigate on autopilot got a big update this week, with users now able to configure change lanes without driver confirmation. When we tried this system out last year, we liked that driver confirmation was a thing, but Tesla through lots of testing has determined that the system is good enough to not require it. The update also allows the navigate on autopilot to be on by default any time a driver engages the autopilot with the destination in the nav system. VW has a new ID concept coming down the pike, and it's called the ID Roomzz. Yeah, that's with two Zs, obviously. We're not entirely sure who's coming up with the names for these ID concepts, nor are we sure what weird drugs they may be doing. But we do know that Roomzz is designed with the idea that it would be capable of level four autonomy, and as such, promises some new and exciting seating arrangements. We really don't know much else. Other than that, it will debut in Shanghai later this month. Find more of these stories at theroadshow.com, we'll talk to you tomorrow.
