AirPods 2 on the way, Apple closes in on Netflix, and your chance at Apple superstardom. Let's get right to the core of this week's Apple news and rumors. [MUSIC] Let's start with a quick hit of this This weeks rumor so we can move on to the meat of the show, starting with the AirPods, which maybe the first new Apple product to debut in 2019. We've been expecting to get second generation AirPods for a while now and because it's taken longer than expected, we maybe getting more upgrades than we had anticipated. The first rumor suggested we get that wireless charging case. And perhaps a hands-free Siri. But now it looks like we may be getting those biometric sensors as well. Now, I'm not sure if those are going to be the heart rate sensors like the Apple Watch or what Apple is planning to include in its AirPods, but we could see it very soon because Rumour has it that working in seed in early 2019 at least according to digital support this could mean as early as March if Apple holds a launch event on this Month like in previous years, now it would only make sense that Apple launches the A-power mode. With the new Air Pods. So that's also coming right around the corner. After over a year of build up, we're finally starting to get clues that the big reveal could be close. There was code found in the packaging of the iPhone 10S, along with iOS 12.1,another DigiTimes report mentions we could see it later in 2019 so if not in March, at least by mid year. And lastly, let's fast forward to the 2020 iPhones which ny the looks of it are gonna be the most interesting of the bunch because 2019 is not rumored to have a lot of changes for the lineup. Now a recent report in the wall street journal's suggest apple with [UNKNOWN] LCD screen for good in 2020. Meaning all the screen across the board even for the ten hours sequel which makes sence after disappointing cellses here. [SOUND] Last we we discussed Apple's hardware plan for 2019 and beyond. Now let's switch gears for a second and take a look at Apple's other moneymaking clan for 2019, that the company hopes will help compensate for the decreasing iPhone sales. It's services. Now it's no secret that Apple is spending $1 billion in original content. And it's gearing up to launch a Netflix-style streaming service, rumored to launch sometime this year. Tim Cook has even dropped some major clues. And then CES 2019 basically confirmed what we all thought, When Apple announced that it's opening up its content beyond the Apple TV, giving the new Samsung TVs access to iTunes, and a bunch of other brands like LG and Sony access to AirPlay 2 for screen mirroring. Now, this is part of Apple's master plan to make sure That more people have access to their services. Kind of like what they did by allowing Apple music on Android devices. But at this point with Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Hulu, and more so far ahead in the game. And others like Disney rumored to be entering this space, Apple would really need a Game of Thrones like hit to entice users to pay for yet another streaming service. Or ditch their current subscription service altogether. Which is exactly what the company is hoping to do by bearing big-name celebrities to produce content. They've got Adam Horowitz, Oprah, Octavia Spencer, Jennifer Garner, JJ Abrams, Steve Carell, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, to name a few. And the company already has at least 12 big projects in the works, ranging from comedies, dramas, children's shows, and docuseries. But if binge-worthy content isn't enough, Apple could leverage price as a tool to lure more users especially now that Netflix just hike its prices. Now it's still unclear what business model will be whether it will be a monthly opt in payment plan like Apple Music. Or kinda like Amazon Prime where it's a bundle deal with Apple Music and iCloud or, date I say, free for iPhone users? That would definitely convince people to buy more iPhones. But I'm not holding my breath on that one. My bet's that Apple will launch this streaming service at WWDC this year along with other services. [SOUND] Attention Aspiring photographers, Apple is looking for you. I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Shot on iPhone campaign, those massive billboards showcasing beautiful photography shot on Apple devices. And speaking of that campaign, this week marks the 35th anniversary of the mother of all adds Apples 1984 [UNKNOWN] commercial. Directed by Ridley Scott, it featured a dystopian society ruled by evil television, and was modeled after George Orwell's novel with the same title. Then in comes the MacIntosh to save humanity.
