[MUSIC] Apple is working on a headset that will run on both on augmented reality, and virtual reality. This will let you overlay the digital world on top of the real world, but also kind of escape into this sort of digital dream worlds. They're working on goggles that are completely wireless so, you aren't tethered to a computer, there's no phone connected to it. What they're envisioning is a sort of box that sits in your living room, that kinda has all the computing power. And it connects via this high speed wireless connection, to your glasses. A really big feature of these new glasses, is that they, that each eye has an 8K display. We don't even have TVs that are that powerful at this point. LG and Samsung both showed some at CES but it's unclear when we'll actually see those on the market. Another notable factor is that this will run on Apple's own chips. So Apple has long been making its own components, and it's expected to make chips to replace Intel's chips in its max around the same time frame, 2020. Apple has talked a lot about augmented reality, but it has not done as much with VR. It hasn't released hardware in either of those areas. [MUSIC] But last year at WWDC, it talked about how it's working with some VR companies to bring VR to Macs. And it also introduced augmented reality on the iPhone. So VR is something that we just haven't seen or heard about as much from Apple, so this would be a really big advance for them.
