Say hello to the Amazon Echo Show.
No more rumors, there's officially a new Amazon Echo device and it's got a screen.
This is the Amazon Echo Show.
It has a 7-inch touchscreen, a built-in 5 megapixel camera, and of course, Amazon's virtual assistant, Alexa.
The combo of a screen and a camera allow the Echo Show to make video calls.
You'll be able to make calls from the Echo Show to anyone with a supported Echo device or the Alexa app.
Alexa calling and messaging is free to use.
The screen will be able to show you Amazon Video, YouTube and even your camera feeds if you have a compatible smart phone camera.
Unlike the new Echo Look, the newer Echo Show will be available for everyone at launch.
The Echo Look requires an invite to purchase.
The Echo Show costs $229.99.
There's a discount of $100, if you buy two.
There are also two color options, black, and white.
The device will ship, starting on June 28th.
Amazon now has five Echo devices in this line up.
With the original Echo speakers, the Echo Dot Echo tap, echo look, and now the echo show.
Amazon has a commanding lead in a smart speaker market.
According to research firm eMarketer, Amazon owns approximately about 70% of the US voice-enabled speaker market.
We'll see if the echo show helps Amazon continue its dominant.
