[MUSIC] What would you say if your laptop were always on, always connected to LTE, and lasted 20 hours or more on a single charge? Sounds like a dream, doesn't it? Not according to HP and ASUS, which revealed a new hybrid PC each: The ASUS NovaGo and the HP ENVY x2. What's so interesting and unique about these two lean, lightweight devices isn't actually what's on the outside, unless of course you count the sim card slot. It's that these are the first two laptops to run on Snapdragon 835 for Windows 10. Now the Snapdragon 835 chip might sound familiar Because it's the same one that you find in phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG B30. Using a phone chip inside a PC helps keep the screen responsive while you open it. There's no delay as it comes out of standby mode. And not many laptops can claim that they can run for 20 hours without needing to juice up. Azuz says it will run for up to 22. You're still getting access to Windows apps, to Microsoft Cortana, and to hardware elements like a camera and a fingerprint reader. Plus they are both hybrid PCs. Asus's laptop folds back on its keyboard to make a tablet, a really big one. This screen is 13.3 inches, which gives you a lot of room to play games and browse the web. The envy X2 is a tad bit smaller with a 4.2 inch display. The screen lock pops off to form a lighter tablet. Both devices give you your usual connection ports and up to eight gigabytes of ram and up to 256 gigabytes of onboard storage. The Asus Nova pro will start at 599. Check back for Envy X two prices.
