With iOS 7, Apple's made it really easy to switch your phone into a Do Not Disturb mode.
Swipe up from the bottom, hit the little crescent moon button and your iPhone will stop trying to get your attention by buzzing and ringing or lighting up with screen notifications and text messages.
As the moon icon implies, it's the perfect way to shout out the world and get some good sleep.
The only problem is it's easy to forget to switch it on or to switch it off the next day.
So, here's how to
schedule the do not disturb mode, so that is automatic.
Tap settings then do not disturb and we can see the word "Scheduled" tap the switch and then tap here and set the times when you want Do Not Disturb to switch on and off.
Then hit back.
Now, by default, the Do Not Disturb mode will still allow calls to come through from people on your favorites list, which you can find by going to phone and then selecting Favorites.
That's fine with me but if you want to, you could tap this Allow Calls From setting and change to
Same for these repeated call settings, by default it's left on so that people who called twice within three minutes can get through, presumably with some urgent information.
But if your friends don't quite have a grasp on what you consider urgent, you can switch this setting off so that they can get through.
