Don't you ever find yourself walking over to your garbage can with your hands dripping with chicken guts or some other gross thing, and you don't want to lift open the bin yourself?
Simple Human has the solution.
It's a Simple Human Sensor Can with voice control.
It isn't Alexa enabled or Google Home enabled or anything like that.
It doesn't work with Siri.
But it has built-in native voice control for a really simple solution for when your hands are just kinda gross.
So basically you can say open sesame, open can, you can say stay open, you can say close can, and it'll oblige you.
There's just a microphone built into the back of the device that'll pick up on your voice.
You have to stand fairly close, but it's not too bad.
And it has 52 decibels of sound when it's opening and closing.
So it's not too loud.
About the same as your standard dishwasher running throughout the day.
In addition to the voice control, it also has a gesture function sensor built-in.
So, you can wave your hand directly over the bin top and it'll open up for five seconds and then close automatically.
You have a lot of options, definitely a lot smarter than the basic sort of garbage can you probably have at home today.
So this model will retail for a $179, not cheap definitely, but definitely a smart upgrade for your kitchen.
It'll be available in March.
