Be skin smart is a free app for iPhone users that reminds you to reapply sunscreen.
Create a profile for yourself and each member of your family by answering basic questions about your coloring and how your skin responds to sun.
The app will generate a skin type and provide advice for how to avoid burns and other dangerous side effects from prolonged sun exposure.
When you're outside, enter the SPF level you're wearing and the app will set a timer for when it's time to reapply.
If you'd like to monitor sun exposure in real time, strap on the $99 June wrist band.
The jewel like sensor detects UV rays and wirelessly alerts your smart phone when it's time to put on some sunscreen or head in doors.
And finally don't forget that your gadgets are sun sensitive, too.
Avoid extreme temperatures, and close apps that aren't in use, so you don't overwork your battery.
And if your phone does overheat.
Turn it off.
Let it rest.
And try powering it up when it cools back down.
