>> [Tom Merritt:] OS 10 Snow Leopard introduces some nifty new features into Safari that expand your contextual menu options. You can save highlighted text as a note or a sound file. I'm looking at the developer's preview here, but it's going to be the same in the retail version. Here's how you do it: in Safari, open the web page you want, then highlight the text you wish to save. Now, right-click or control-click. Choose "make a new mail note," and the highlighted text will be saved as a note in the mail app. Or better yet, choose "add to iTunes" as a spoken track. The highlighted text will be converted from text to speech, and the voice track can be found in iTunes. You can play back the text any time you like.
>> We loved "A Game of Thrones," but you'll have to listen to find out why.
>> Just a couple tricks that expand your options in Snow Leopard. I'm Tom Merritt, CNET.com.
