Samsung's slimline speakers come with a magnetic remote
Almost every audio company at CES 2018 has announced a smart speaker, a music system with its own built in voicer system.
But there's one notable exception.
It's new VL3 and VL5 speakers might have microphones on them but the company says these models won't be smart.
Nevertheless, these are some nice looking speakers.
They aren't made from cheap plastic but instead feature metal and wood in their construction.
The large VL5 is about two foot long and features controls from the top as well as the [UNKNOWN] magnetic remote control.
The speaker has three five inch woofers on board as well as two tweeters Meanwhile, the smaller VL3 is about the size of a transistor radio and features a single woofer and tweeter.
These are bluetooth and wi-fi speakers.
And you can control them with Samsung's SmartThings app.
It will let you listen to music on these or other Samsung speakers around your house.
Samsung had the speakers playing at its First Look event.
And the amount of bass talk capable of was pretty surprising.
The folks of the Samsung Audio 11 California which design these speakers clearly know how to make the most out of such a thin cabinet.
Samsung is yet to announce pricing availability of the VL5 or VL3 but definitely watch this place.
