Samsung's new Gear VR: There's only one reason to buy it
Samsung's new Gear VR headset for 2016 is important for one reason and one reason alone.
It works with the Galaxy Note 7, and presumably with other future Samsung phones.
See the new phone has a USBC port which won't fit into the current GEAR VR Headset, so Samsung had to make a new one.
Since you can easily swap out the USBC connector for a micro-USB part, the new Headset will work with all compatible Samsung phones.
In addition, this updated rig gets a longer head strap and cushier padding for your face.
There's also a new button to take you to the Oculus Home game launcher and store.
But the best part for VR fans is probably the redesign Navigational pad near your right temple.
The refresh Gear VR has its own USB charging port and it's also the same price as the previous model.
