Samsung's 8K 85-inch TV uses artificial intelligence
Hey everybody, you're looking at Samsung's 8KTV.
This thing is 85 inches, it's the Q9S, and yes, Samsung says it will be shipping this year.
This is the first 85 inch TV with AQ resolution that Samsung says uses AI technology.
Now this isn't AI like Alexa or Google Assistant where you ask for stuff.
This AI, is AI Picture processing.
The idea of course is to take an incoming 4K or even 2K HD picture, and scale it all the way up to those 8K pixels.
Of course, the reason why Samsung wants to do this is because right now, there is no 8K content available.
So the only thing you're gonna watch on this TV is 4K or 10 ATP stuff.
Now if this AI processing does the job it will look really, really good, but mind you the AK resolution Resolution, for a lot of people is already beyond their visual acuity, so you're really not going to get that much of a benefit from looking at these extra packed, tiny little pixels.
Unless you sit extremely close, which is pretty uncomfortable on an 85 inch tv.
Beyond the resolution, this tv has a really cool form factor, it's kind of got this leaned back, easel style look.
With these cool legs that come up from the bottom, Samsung is yet to specify pricing or availability on the Q9S, although it does say it will ship this year.
