Samsung's $2000, 31.5-inch U32D970Q display serves up ultra-high resolutions for professionals
Hey, I'm Nate Ralph Martinez.
Today we're checking out the Samsung U32D970Q.
So this 31.5 inch monitor has an ultra-high resolution display that's 3840 by 2160 pixel resolution.
The monitor has four input ports.
That's two display ports, a HDMI port and a DVI port.
And when it's available in early October, it will be priced at 1999.
This monitor offers a billion colors, with Adobe rgd accuracy at around 99.5%.
It's huge.
There are 11 color calibration settings, three of them are user adjustable.
Now this display has a really interesting feature, and that's the ability to split it into half or into four parts.
That breaks it into nice little 1920x1080 resolution chunks, if you split it four ways.
You can split it, the monitor, directly in half, right down the middle, and actually set up.
Two separate color profiles.
The monitor has a really wide rate of motion, tilt it to the left and right, that's pretty standard for monitors, you can also tilt it 90 degrees, which is great on a monitor this large if you've got large tracts of code or something that you want to be able to see all at once.
Other standard features include, a VESA mount on the back, if you wanna mount it to a wall or on a stand.
So this is a really impressive display.
It's obviously not aimed at your casual, or your gaming audience, despite the really large size.
But at $2,000 for a professional grade monitor with images that look beautiful in video that really pop, it's such a high resolution, it's gonna be a pretty interesting prospect for professional instrument developers.
I'm Nate Ralph, thanks for watching.
