>> Hi, I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we're gonna take a first look at the Samsung Two Step, this is a new phone for US Cellular. The Two Step is a music phone, and we really like to look at music phones. It is a pretty basic design in a lot of ways, but you'll notice there is a scroll wheel down here at the bottom. So you can activate the music player by pressing the button in the center of the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel is pretty tactile, there's not a lot of definition between the center button and the outer wheel, but it's still pretty easy to use, I had no trouble getting acclimated to it at all. Twin speakers down below, they're well placed for getting the sound out, and actually they are pretty powerful as well. The phone does come in a few colors, this is a purple color. In case you haven't heard, purple is definitely the new pink. Camera lens is right here above the external display inside the phone. It's about mid-range, two hundred sixty two thousand colors. It's not the highest resolution display we've seen, but it does the job, especially on this caliber of phone. Keypad buttons and controls, a little bit of a mixed bag. I found the navigation array as a whole to be pretty spacious, there are a couple of soft keys as well, dedicated speakerphone button which is nice, music player button, keypad buttons, they're also flat with the surface of the phone. And there's a lot of space around them, so I didn't have any problems dialing. The music player is nothing special, it won't wow audio files, but it definitely works. Getting music on the phone is pretty easy, you can use the memory card or you can just use the USB cable and sync it with your computer. Other features, it does have that 1.3 mega pixel camera, it does have Bluetooth, a speakerphone, organizer function.
