I'm Jessica Dolcourt with CNET and this is the first at the Samsung T369.
This is a pretty basic messaging phone for T-Mobile.
It's one of their prepaid models, so there's no 2-year commitment.
The phone cost 79.99 plus your monthly plan.
As you can see, the design gives you a typical black slider phone with rounded corners and a slide out QWERTY keyboard.
There is a 2-inch screen with T-Mobile's usual menus and navigation.
There's a numeric tile pad on the front,
but we found that the keys were rather long and skinny for our tastes, so wasn't that easy to get around.
On the back, there is a 1.3 mega pixel camera with video recording capabilities.
Slide open the phone and you'll see a nice compact QWERTY keyboard.
The sliding action feels really good and sturdy and the keys are in good shape and distance from each other.
Our one complaint is that they are pretty flashed.
We've typed faster definitely on other keyboards.
Inside, you've got T-Mobile's rotating carousel navigation, which you can also change to grid form.
There is text audio and photo messaging on board plus all the basic calendar and organizer tools.
Extras include music player, video recorder and instant messaging.
This is also a GSM world phone, so you can take it with you overseas.
It's decent messaging phone overall, but if you are looking for a phone with e-mail, Wi-Fi and 3G specs, this won't be the phone for you.
